2012 is upon us, which means it’s time to pick up on a few bargains in the January sales. Some rather hefty non-clothing expenses means my budget is limited this time round, so I’ve been drawn to relatively small and inexpensive items: neckties.
The great thing about neckties is that they take up little wardrobe space space and are an easy way to add colour, texture, pattern – or all three – to an otherwise plain-looking outfit. Here are a few that have taken my fancy:

I love those flat bottom, knit ties! I used to have a red one when I was a teenager. I always liked the feel and how it was very springy. Would you wear one with jeans? I think a nice wool blazer would go very well with your gray tie above.
